Shamo is a breed of game fowl in Japan. This breed originally started from Thailand. The breeders of Shamo used selective breeding to give it its current shape, size and structure. Shamo is basically a strain of Asil. Its original place of birth is Sindh, Pakistan. The Sindhi Asils were taken from Pakistan to Thailand and Taiwan and eventually to Japan. The Shamo game fowl has an upright body structure and are used in naked heel fights in Japan. Shamo are bred all over the world these days.

Aseel Chicken Breed

Aseel chicken breed is one of the well known breeds. This breed falls under the category of game fowl. There are many other game fowl breeds all over the world. We will discuss those too later on in this blog. But in this post we will share some information about Aseel chicken breed.

Aseels or Asils are available in many different countries including Pakistan, India, UK, USA, Thailand, Philippines and many others. But this breed has gained the most fame in Pakistan and India. Asil chicken are strong and muscular. They have great stamina and endurance. This is what makes them the perfect choice for cock fighting. In Pakistan, there are two main categories of Asils: Naked heel and Taped heel. The naked heel aseel chicken are smaller in size and relatively more agile. Since Aseels are such beautiful gamecocks, a lot of people search for Aseel photos on the internet. There are hundreds of people who share the pictures of Asils on Facebook and other social networking sites on a daily basis.

We decided to select some of the best Asil photos and share with you all. While selecting these pictures our basic criteria was the feathers, long tails, strong body structure, strong beaks and lovely eyes. We kept in mind other criteria as well.
